This weeks song of the week comes from The Balconies. They’re a three piece band from Ottawa, Ontario and were formed in December 2007 by Jacquie Neville (Jetplanes of Abraham), Liam Jaeger (For the Mathematics), and Steve Neville.

So I’ve decided to start a free ’song of the week’ feature on my blog. Here’s how it works: every Friday I will post a new song and it will only be downloadable for that one week. I’m doing this to help promote and support local and up-and-coming bands. Not to say I’m not going to throw up any well known songs every now and then. If you like a song I’ve recommended go buy their CD, go see them live, buy some merch. All I ask is support the music.
We’ll see how this goes, but feel free to comment, and leave suggestions. It also crossed my mind that there could be legal implications to doing this, if anyone has anything to say regarding this please comment. Lastly, on the right hand side of my blog there’s a ‘Recommend A Song’ widget. If you’re in a band, or know any sweet Indie bands feel free to send it to me and I’ll make it a song of the week.
